these files can onley be played after installing the driver for sound blaster 64 ( though now i`m not uesing this card ) but if i don`t use this driver the files don`t work .ps : the driver is for win 9x . no version for xp . so i can`t use the files on xp ( if any one have an xp version that will be great )

I’ve tried a few different conversion programs like Any Video Converter and Format Factory to try to convert my DVDs to either AVI or other similar formats. Every time I try I run into problems with either the video or the audio sync.
I do not have a problem with the video so long as I convert to AVI format, but then my audio is out of sync usually by about a second or so.
Are there any free programs out there that can take care of this problem for me? Maybe it’s just user error on my part, too. There are a LOT of different settings on the programs that I already have. Is there a certain setting that I should be using?

Okay so I downloaded some stuff from youtube, and it downloaded as flv. and mp4 files. I then used a software to convert the mp4 and flv files to the avi. format to allow them to play on my Windows media player. I want to burn the vids as a DVD, so they can play on my DVD player. I live in UK, so they have to be Region 2 compatible. Which file format should I convert them to? And how do I go about burning them to a DVD? Which sort of CD should I use? I’m a newbie to this kind of stuff, so please help!
